CHAIR TESTING:

Future Chairs Ltd is one of the very few companies who has carried out official testing and has been subjected to the very rigorous program regulated by the authorities at the MHRA test centre to sections of BS EN 12183 and BS 7176. All our wheelchairs are CE marked. IMPACT TESTING: A 10kg pendulum has impacted onto the caster forks and foot rest assemblies. DROP TESTING: With weights on the chair of 100KG, the complete chair is raised and dropped 6666 (six thousand six hundred and sixty six) times to simulate dropping off curbs etc FATIGUE TEST: With weights on the chair of 100KG the chairs caster and main wheels are impacted to simulate 5 years life. The chair sees 200,000 (two hundred thousand) impacts. Future Chairs Ltd has not stopped there: We have carried out in house testing, which includes 60,000 brake cycles, static and dynamic loading of the caster and front carbon fibre frame assembly, impact dent and scratch tests, folding joint installaion static and dynamic test, backrest installation assembly tests.
